Co-pay

A dollar amount you will pay at the time to the doctor for certain services.  A co-pay is typically paid at the time of service.  If your plan has a co-pay option, you will typically pay this amount for doctor visits, emergency rooms and prescription drugs.  Although some plans will have a co-pay for other services as well.  Please check your policy or outline of coverage for details.  For instance, you may have a $10 co-pay for generic prescription drugs and a $25 co-pay for brand name prescription drugs.
